Party Games With Video Chat Built In

Most online party games leave the talking to you. You open the game in one tab, a Zoom or Discord call in another, and spend the first five minutes getting everyone into both. Poparty puts the camera, the microphone and the game in the same room, so there is one link and one thing to join.

Why it matters more than it sounds

Party games are conversation games. Reading a face is how you catch a bluff in Guess the Imposter, how you know somebody is about to lose it during a Telephone Drawing reveal, and the entire mechanic of Silent Charades. When the video lives in a different window from the game, you lose the connection between what someone is doing and how they are reacting to it — and on phones, where you cannot see both at once, you lose the video entirely.

Games that genuinely need the camera

Silent Charades is the clearest case: one player acts out a secret prompt on camera with their mic auto-muted while everyone else guesses in chat. It cannot exist without video. Karaoke Party needs a live microphone, which very few browser games support at all. Watch Party is video chat wrapped around a synced video. The other ten games are playable camera-off but are noticeably better with it on.

Privacy

Video and audio travel peer-to-peer between browsers wherever the network allows it. Rooms are private — there is no public lobby list and no way to browse into someone else's room. Nothing is recorded. See the privacy policy for the full detail.
