Terms of Service

By using Poparty you agree to these terms. They are written to be readable rather than exhaustive.
1. The service
Poparty provides free, browser-based multiplayer party games with integrated video and voice chat, operated by Amit Kumar Khandekar as an independent project. No account is required.
2. Who may use it
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use Poparty only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. The service is not directed at children under 13.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, bully or abuse other players, or transmit content that is unlawful, hateful, or sexually explicit
- Share video, audio, screen content or drawings depicting anything illegal or that you do not have the right to share
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer or gain unauthorised access to the service or its infrastructure
- Use bots, scripts or automation to interact with the service
- Impersonate another person, or use a display name designed to deceive
- Enumerate or attempt to access rooms you were not invited to
We may terminate a room or block access at any time, without notice, for conduct we judge to breach these terms.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of what you create — drawings, chat, answers, video and audio. You grant us only the limited, temporary permission needed to transmit that content to other players in your room for the purpose of running the game. We do not store, record or reuse it.
You are responsible for what you transmit. Video and audio are live and are visible to everyone in your room.
5. Other players' content
Rooms are private and created by users. We do not moderate rooms in real time and we do not pre-screen content. You are responsible for choosing who you invite into a room, and for leaving one that makes you uncomfortable. Report serious abuse to amitkumarkhandekar08@gmail.com.
6. Third-party content
Watch Party and Karaoke Party play video hosted by YouTube. That content is subject to YouTube's Terms of Service. You are responsible for having the right to play whatever you queue. Poparty neither hosts nor supplies that content.
7. Availability
Poparty is provided free of charge and on an "as is" and "as available" basis. There is no uptime guarantee. Rooms and their contents are held in memory and are lost when a room ends, a server restarts, or a host leaves. Do not rely on Poparty to preserve anything.
8. Advertising
Content pages display third-party advertising. We do not control and are not responsible for the content of those advertisements or of any site they link to.
9. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Poparty is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of Poparty. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you have paid to use the service, which is zero.
11. Intellectual property
The Poparty name, logo, site content and software are ours. Names of other products mentioned on this site — including skribbl.io, Gartic Phone, Jackbox and Kahoot — belong to their respective owners and are used only for descriptive comparison. Poparty is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any of them.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the date at the top of this page, and continuing to use Poparty means you accept them.
